Juvecant 2010, an alternative for young leisure

Like all the Christmas holidays, Juvecant, the eleventh edition of the Leisure and Cultural Youth Cantabria, will be held in Santander from 23 to 30 of December with youth culture as the protagonist through some thirty of activities, among which Vinila concert Von Bismark and The Lucky Dados. Juvecant 2010 offers workshops, theatre, TV entertainment, games role and live music for all tastes and FREE!
Activities will take place at the pier, La Grúa de Piedra, the Auditorium and the Campus of the University of Cantabria, Paraninfo de Cantabria, CASYC Santander, ONCE and Sala Miriñaque.
Cultural schedule will start the 23th of December with the theatre piece "Las Aventuras de Stevenson Mandela" and the concerts of Hendrik Röver and Luthea Salom at Paraninfo de Cantabria.
30th of December, a special marathon will take place in order to raise funds for a foundation, with the collaboration of Russell Simoni and the workshop's attendants. Furthermore, the concert of the Spanish band DePedro (a Spanish indie pattern) and Lazy will make enjoyment for everyone.

International Design at Alhóndiga Bilbao

Today, November 29 at 10.30 hours, will be presented the B AWARDS, at a press conference, within the Conceptual Design Festival in the Auditorium of AlhóndigaBilbao, Indautxu.

In the press conference to be held in the Sala La Bastida, Iñaki Azkuna, mayor of Bilbao, will host this edition with Jose Luis Bilbao, Deputy General of Bizkaia, Tony Chambers, Director of International Design magazine Wallpaper and Christian Scherfig, director of Danish Design Center.

B AWARDS is a festival designed to promote design in the area of Bilbao and Bizkaia where Philippe Starck, designer of AlhóndigaBilbao be part of the jury. Around an international design competition, seeks to promote interaction between designers / architects and local and international producers Basques, as well as to inform the Basque design in international settings. A project promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the city of Bilbao, coordinated by Metropolis 30.

Otherwhise, are scheduled two conferences in which Tony Chambers, Director of International Design magazine Wallpaper, and Christian Scherfig, director of the Danish Design Center, will discuss their vision and experience design world.

We R who we R, Ke$ha's new single

Kesha Rose Sebert has her new single on the road now. With the age of 23, she is the new pop sensation known to the public as Ke$ha. Her new work is titled "We R who we R"and it promises to be a hit single as well. She will launch her new album in November 22nd.
Last year, she started a contract with RCA Records and she become, with Lady Gaga's exception, in one of the Electropop's divas nowadays. Ke$ha’s debut album has a lot of success, Animal, was released in January and raced to the top of the charts, with the hit singles “Tik Tok,” “Your Love Is My Drug,” “Dinosaur,” and “Blah Blah Blah” packing dance floors from around the world.

REAL SOCIEDAD 1 - RACING 0 Real Sociedad dreams with Europa League place

Racing de Santander acted as Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and showed last saturday its worse face. Llorente made headlines as his goal gave Real Sociedad a shock 1-0 win over Champions League chasing Racing at Anoeta Stadium.
After 10th fixture, Racing de Santander is falling down to the bottom of the table (in 14th position) with the same points than Deportivo de la Coruña and Sporting de Gijón. Villareal and Espanyol follows them with 23 and 18 points.
UEFA places are for Valencia and Real Sociedad, that with its victory in Anoeta climb to the top of the table.
At the end of last fixture, Real Madrid win over title chasing Atlético de Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu. Barcelona is second in BBVA League. Otherwise, Villareal and Espanyol complete Champions League places with 23 and 18 points, severally.
UEFA places are for Valencia and Real Sociedad, that's the first time in years that Anoeta's team is so high in Spanish BBVA League.

Guggenheim Museum wears music

Frank Gehry's museum in Bilbao will host one Friday a month, a night music and art programme designed with Fever Bilbao

The iniciative was launched last year with a great success. Due to that fact, this season is ready to start dancing! The first stop is tonight (10/29), thus, Guggenheim Museum will be opened one Friday a month, from 22:00 pm to 01:00 am and attendees will have the opportunity to visit the exhibits while enjoying the best dj sets in the main atrium.

22 PM_ Lourdes Madow (Pink Fever, Bilbao). Lourdes Madow is a Resident DJ in Fever, she mixes different Pop influences and makes party whatever she wants.
23 PM_ Gora ta Gora DJS (Madrid). Far from the mythical song of the PNV, Gora ta Gora's hymn, they are two of the Basque fashion designer major: Carlos Díez and Juan Jiménez.
Both have reaped success with its music in international fashion shows and alternative partys.
24 PM_ Anja Sneijder (Mobilee, Berlin). Anja Sneijder is famous for her talent, she's one of the famous DJ in the Berliner alternative sphere. She's one of the founders of label Mobilee.

Later, in Fever, Gora ta Gora DJS and Unai Goikolea show you how to dance with their special sessions. Unai encourages you to its meeting SKIRT, the night where the men dance in a skirt. Unai was a reporter for fashion and trends in channels like Four and ETB. The first 5 to arrive in a skirt, will have a surprise gift. He wants you to put on your skirts and dance!
